Scientific names and relatives
We are in same family as the weasel, wolverine, badger, known as the Mustelidea family. My scientific name is Mellivora Capensis, I know, cool name. The "badger" part of our name comes from our superficial resemblence to the bad-tempered, ugly Eurasian badgers, I mean it's pretty hard to say that I'm even related to them.
Our pelage, or fur, particularly the grey mantle and white stripes are highly valuable to us because our fur attracts lovely ladies and changes with age. Too bad for us, our fur fades with age. Other badgers in the world include the Eurasian, American, Hog, Indonesian Stink, Palawan/ Calamanian Stink (what an embarrassing name) and Chinese Ferret Badgers.
